RANGE SAFETY OFFICERS

Carson City currently requires Range Safety Officers on the range when it is open to the public.  These individuals have volunteered their time to help operate the Carson City Rifle and Pistol Range. Our Volunteer Range Safety Officers (RSO) are certified by the National Rifle Association, meet the requirements est by the club and the Carson City Parks and Recreation Division, and are authorized by the city to enforce range rules.

Volunteer RSOs are provided by the club under it's "use agreement" with the Carson City Parks and Recreation Division. Their role is to educate users about the rules for using the range and help ensure the Carson City Rifle and Pistol Range is a safe environment for visitors

Do you spend a lot of time at the Carson Rifle & Pistol Range? Do you want to help educate the public about range safety and keep this facility safe for all users? If so and you are a current NRA RSO – drop us an email at info@carsonrapc.org letting us know you would like to help and join the Volunteer RSO Team.
