Match Overview
  • High Power Rifle:  100 yard Rifle Match. Course of fire is 50 shots in four stages, from standing, sitting/kneeling, and prone positions, in slow and rapid fire. Suitable for AR15 and certain other types of rifles.This match is intended for the AR15 in its various versions (iron sights or scoped, rifle, or carbine), but similar type rifles (AR10 or M1A for example) are acceptable as well.
  • Vintage Military Rifle:  The Vintage Rifle match is 100 yard Rifle Match. the course of fire is 50 shots in four stages, from standing, sitting/kneeling and prone positions, in slow and rapid fire.  Firing is completed at a round target with concentric circles. This match is for military rifles in service prior to the AR15.
    • Required Equipment:
      • M14/M1a (Service Rifle class)
      • or- M1 Garand (Service Rifle class)
      • or- M1903 (Service Rifle class)
      • or- any military-type rifle exceptAR-15 (examples: Enfield, Mauser, Moisin-Nagant, etc.)
      • or- any repeating rifle capable of rapid reloading via magazine or stripper clips, w/ either iron sights, red-dot sight, or scope  (Open Rifle class)
    • 58 rounds of ammunition
    • Sling for rifle
    • Two magazines or stripper clips
    • Optional equipment:
      • Spotting scope(strongly suggested)
      • Shooting mat
      • Single-round loading device

Course of Fire- High Power Rifle and Vintage Military Rifle matches- 100 yards, 4 stages.

    • Slow Fire Offhand- 2 sighters plus 10 shots for record in 12 minutes. Shooting is done from standing position and all shots are loaded singly.
    • Rapid Fire Sitting- 2 sighters in 2 minutes, then 10 shots for record in 60 seconds from sitting position. Mandatory magazine change- either 5 + 5 or 2 + 8 shots.
    • Rapid Fire Prone- 2 sighters in 2 minutes, then 10 shots for record in 70 seconds from prone position. Mandatory magazine change- either 5 + 5 or 2 + 8 shots.
    • Slow Fire Prone- 2 sighters plus 20 shots for record in 22 minutes. Shooting is done from prone position and all shots are singly loaded.

Sighter shots are shot from same position as record shots unless separate sighter target is used.

  • 3X200 Rifle: 200 yard rifle match. Course of fire is 45 shots in three stages, from either prone position or bench, slow fire. Suitable for most centerfire rifles, either iron-sighted or scoped.

  • Mini-Palma: The Mini-Palma is a 100 yard .22 rimfire match.  You will shoot 45 shots total. A standard Palma match consists of three stages, 800, 900 and 1000 yards, with 15 shots for record at each distance. The Mini Palma uses reduced size targets and is only shot at 100 yards. Shooting will be completed in in three stages of 15 shots each. Shooters have the option of shooting from A bench or laying down (prone position). This match is suitable for most 22 rifles, either iron-sighted or scoped.
    •  Required equipment:
      • Any  22LR rimfire rifle capable of precision fire at 100 yards. Rifle classes are as follows:

        • Iron-sighted w/ sling (iron sight class)

        • Scoped w/ sling (scope class)

        • Scoped using a bipod and rear bag (FT-R class)

        • Any scoped rifle using any kind of rest, front and rear, including 1-piece rests (open class)

      • Approximately 60 rounds of ammunition, 22LR caliber

    • Optional equipment:
      • Spotting scope to see target holes (strongly suggested)
      • Shooting mat when lying in the prone position
  • Course of Fire- Mini-Palma Rifle matches- 100 yards, 3 stages.

      • Stage 1 - Unlimited sighters plus 15 shots for record in 20 minutes
      • Stage 2 - sighters plus 15 shots for record in 17 minutes per stage
      • Stage 3 - sighters plus 15 shots for record in 17 minutes per stage
Shooting in iron sight, scope and open-prone classes is done from prone position using either sling (iron sight or scope class) or front and rear rest (open-prone class). Shooting in open-bench and FT-R classes is done from bench, although FT-R has the option of using the prone position. All ammunition must be singly loaded.
  • Varmint Rifle: 50 or 100 yard rifle match. Course of fire is 45 shots in three stages, from either prone position or bench, 5 minutes per stage. Suitable for most rimfire rifles, (50 or 100 yard) or centerfire rifles of 30 caliber or less (100 yard), either iron-sighted or scoped.

  • Tactical Rifle:  100 – 300 yard Rifle match. Course of fire is 45 rounds in three stages, slow and rapid fire at distances from 100 to 300 yards, using standing, sitting/kneeling and prone positions. Suitable for most rifles with extended or detachable magazines or provision for rapid reloading, using iron, optical or electronic sights.

  • Bullseye Pistol:  The Bullseye Pistol match is a pair of 25 yard pistol matches, one using a rimfire handgun and one using a center-fire. The course of fire for each match is 30 shots in three stages, using either a 1-hand or 2-hand hold, and in slow fire (10 shots in ten minutes), timed fire (5 shots in twenty seconds, x2) and rapid fire (5 shots in ten seconds, x2).  Suitable for almost any handgun, with either iron sights, red-dot, or scoped.
