Range Task Force votes to support Club agreement

After much discussion, the Range Task Force voted to recommend approval bu the Board of Supervisors of a six month agreement between Parks and Rec and the club. The club will continue to provide RSOs on Sundays to keep the range open to the public as well as manage the reservation process for the bays. In return, the city will allow the club to use 20 lanes of the rifle range for four hours twice a month and provide the club meeting space. you can watch the video of the meeting here.

April 14th Match – Stillwater

Sunday’s High Power Rifle match is scheduled for 9 AM at the Stillwater Firearms Association’s range in Fallon. Access to this location was arranged earlier this year when it appeared that we were going to be unable to have matches in Carson City. If the Carson City Board of Supervisors approves our Interim Use Agreement later this month, our matches will return to being held locally, and this Sunday would be the only pair of matches that we hold in Fallon.

Directions: From US 50 in downtown Fallon, turn left on Cemetery Road and proceed north. This is on the east side of town, past Hwy 95 and the hospital.Turn right on Indian Lakes Road at the fork next to the cemetery. Follow Indian Lakes Road 3-3/4 miles north to 3245, turn left into driveway. If you get lost, call me at 510-701-0710 and I’ll try to help you. See you there!

April 7th Match

The CRPC will be hosting its first official matches of the 2019 season on Sunday April 7 at the Carson City Rifle and Pistol Range. The match will use 10 covered and 10 uncovered lanes for four hours.

The first event will be the Mini-Palma rimfire rifle match, which will commence promptly at 8:00 AM. Immediately following the Mini-Palma, a 3×300 rifle match will be held.

The cost of these matches is $10 for the Mini-Palma or 3×300 only, and $15 for both.
